This 1937 Ford 74, two door, slant back sedan is an extremely rare vehicle both for its engine combination, originality, and condition. To date, this vehicle has just over 10,000 original miles and it has been meticulously cared for its entire life. Under the hood, this Ford is powered by the lower priced, 60 hp engine that was available at the time. Most buyers chose the larger engines, and the majority of these 60 hp models never survived to today due to their lower production and intense use over their lifetime. The 60hp sedan, as a result, is one of the hardest vehicles to find by collectors of Early Ford V8’s.
Mechanically this vehicle is extremely sound, despite only having 10,000 original miles, the owner decided to have the original engine properly rebuilt. Well known machinist and engine builder, the late John Schramm, performed the engine rebuild and the result was a smooth running Ford V8 that is deserving of being in a 10,000 mile original car. The interior mohair upholstery is in very good condition, and this vehicle runs, drives, and rides like a dream. Serious collectors of original cars should take note. Sold with a registration.
