Dick and Dotty Cobb of Gardiner, Maine developed an enthusiastic love for the MG marque. Their love evolved into a lifelong passion and led to the creation of one of the finest and most respected MG collections in the United States.

This 1951 MG TD was once a part of the widely recognized “Cobb Collection” and is being offered for sale at No Reserve. Dick and Dotty Cobb of Gardiner, Maine developed an enthusiastic love for the MG marque. Their love evolved into a lifelong passion and led to the creation of one of the finest and most respected MG collections in the United States.
This car sat unmoved while part of the “Cobb Collection”. Repairs were performed here at OHTM during its short stay at the museum last year. Work performed on this vehicle included inspecting, an oil check and service, new coolant, new battery, points adjustment, new valve stems on the rims, and a new fuel sender.
The 4-cylinder engine is paired with a 4speed manual transmission which runs and shifts well. The number on the engine matches the number on the vehicle data plate. While the car may have sat idle for a while, it is ready for a weekend driver once more. The owner describes the car as in good condition and a current registration is included with the sale.
