Incredibly original 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS396/375hp L78 4 speed – believed to be 36k original miles and original paint. This car has been gone through mechanically, it runs and drives excellent.
- Built at the Norwood, OH plant
- X66 code SS396 with correct black body sill, rear quarter moldings, blacked out tailpan and power brakes (front disc)
- Unrestored 712 black custom interior
- Rallye Green code 79 paint, believed to be original. The paint was thoroughly examined by three separate professionals in the auto body and detailing field – all three (in addition to the previous owner) stated that they believe the paint to be original.
- Front and rear spoilers
- Original JH code L78 396ci/375hp engine verified by engine VIN stamp (see picture). This engine was recently rebuilt and runs very strong. According to the previous owner the original solid cam/lifter setup was replaced with a hydraulic setup for better durability and less maintenance while maintaining high performance.
- Original Muncie M21 4 speed manual transmission verified by VIN stamp (see picture)
- Original 12 bolt positraction rear end with 4.10 gears assembled by the Detroit Gear & Axle plant (see picture)
- Correct intake (see picture)
- Correct carburetor (see picture)
- 396ci/375hp L78 cylinder heads (see picture)
- Clean unrestored undercarriage
- Original front sway bar, valve covers, exhaust manifolds and other misc. parts included with the sale
- Flowmaster headers and mufflers currently installed on the car
- Only 4,889 L78 Camaros were produced in 1969. Low production combined with believed to be original low mileage and paint makes this an opportunity to acquire a rare Camaro that is ready to go.
