This wonderful 1970 Porsche 914 Targa has been beautifully restored and has won a “Best in Class” award at the Arizona Porsche Club of America Concours D’ Elegance which is included. Unlike most Porsche 914 models, this vehicle is in show quality condition from top to bottom. The Porsche 914 is a mid-engine sports car designed, manufactured and marketed by Porsche from 1969 to 1976. It was only available as a Targa-topped two-seat roadster. As the original VIN tags and stamping indicates this vehicle was built by Karmann as a 1970 Porsche 914. As the door tag indicates this vehicle was built in August of 1970. From the information gathered this vehicle only has had three owners since new but there is no documentation to support this claim. This vehicle was the product of a rotisserie restoration which was completed in2014 and has 2,675 miles since completion. The exterior presents itself so nicely with sporty design and color combination. The body is very straight body with excellent gap lines throughout. It’s obvious that countless hours were spent on the body to make it appear like this. It was finished in the correct color of Canary Yellow which dresses this body well. The paint is extremely nice and was recently detailed to a brilliant shine. The new black removable Targa top complements the color perfectly. The PPG front windshield was replaced new during the restoration. The original vent glass, door glass and rear glass is in very nice original condition with the Delodur-f factory stamps. Everything on the exterior was restored or replaced such as the windshield molding, vent molding, dual mirrors, emblems, front rubber and chrome bumper, parking lenses, pop-up headlights, door handles, tail lights and lenses, rear rubber and chrome bumper. The car sits on 15” steel wheels that were painted gray and chrome hub caps. The wheels are wrapped with Pirelli P4 195-65-15 tires. The black interior is in beautiful condition throughout. Some of the restored items include the dash pad, door panels, bucket seats, rear leather trim and dark gray carpeting. It appears some items are original such as the rear view mirror, gauges, dash knobs, steering wheel, door hard ware and shifter. The front compartment has been painted body color and looks amazing. Everything has been restored or replaced throughout. It has a new carpeted mat, fire extinguisher and full spare wheel with new Michelin Defender 1965-65-15 tire. The rear compartment has also been painted body color and looks amazing. Everything has been restored or replaced throughout. There’s also a new carpeted mat, original black Bilstein jack and tool bag. The engine compartment is painted and nicely detailed throughout. The car is powered by a rebuilt 1.7L Flat 4-cylinder boxer engine with fuel injection that runs excellent. Model year1970 1.7L engine VINs ended at number #W0057460 and the engine in this car is#W0058832.The engine is coupled toa5-speed manual transmission that was rebuilt. Model year 1970 5-speed transmission VINs ended at#HAO014826 and the transmission in this car is#HAO013624. The undercarriage is nicely detailed throughout. Everything has been restored or replaced such as the factory style exhaust system, steering components, suspension system and 4-wheel disc brake system. The PCA Award, two owner’s manuals, two Porsche914 books and Porsche 914 service manual are included.
