This 1934 Ford pickup is representative of a classic 1930’s pickup that has undergone an early 1950’s style customization. According to the consignor, this truck runs and drives extremely well and gets attention wherever they go. Overall the goal of this project was to retain the 1934 look of the truck while improving the performance and driving experience with a nostalgic customization.
On the outside this truck is all 1934 having retained its original frame, body, and bed. The original sheet metal body is in very good condition and was repainted in a classic red with black fenders combination. All of the glass was replaced, and an electric wiper was added. Inside the cab, this truck still retains its 1934 feel.
Under the hood is where this truck really shines. In keeping with the theme of a 1950’s era customization, the engine was replaced with a 1950 Mercury 110hp flathead V8 mated with 1939 Ford transmission and running gear, creating an exceptionally looking and driving classic all Ford pickup.
