This is a beautiful Ford half-ton pickup that was created via a total frame-off restoration. The original Flathead V8 engine was overhauled, along with the original 3- speed floor-shift transmission and rear differential. The only modification made from the way it rolled out of the showroom floor is a conversion from 6-volt to 12-volt
and the addition of a hidden sound system. The pickup drives and runs better than when
it was produced in 1940. The truck is entirely Henry Ford steel with no fiberglass replacement parts. All of the glass is new
and all of the chrome has been rechromed.
The interior is stock but totally refreshed. The truck has been part of a private collection for many years and then totally restored during the last year. The original 85hp engine is matching numbers, along
with the transmission and rear differential. There are all-new bushings on the suspension, and all-new stainless screws/fasteners were utilized during the restoration. The truck sports the period- correct whitewall tires on the original wheels, and the bed wood was replaced with custom oak bed rails and hand-finished with a custom furniture finish. The seller states this beautiful truck runs as good as it looks.
