This jazzy 1974 Honda CB750 Motorcycle has been beautifully restored and runs excellent. The Honda CB750 is an air-cooled, transverse, inline 4-cylinder engine motorcycle produced by Honda from 1969 to 1983. It’s regarded as the first motorcycle to be called a “Superbike”. The CB750 is included in the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Classic Bikes and it was named in the Discovery Channel’s “Greatest Motorbikes Ever”. Cycle World Magazine called it “a masterpiece” and Cycle Magazine called it “the most sophisticated production bike ever”. This example was the product of a professional restoration that was completed in 2020. From the information gathered it’s been ridden roughly 1,500 miles since completion. The entire motorcycle was disassembled to a bare frame which was powder-coated black. The chrome handlebar is mounted to the top triple clamp with a raiser that features integrated indicator lights. Instrumentation consists of the factory original Nippon Denso 150-mph speedometer and a matching tachometer with an 8k- rpm redline. A Wagner headlight provides nighttime visibility. The fuel tank was refinished in the factory original color of Flake Sunrise Orange which is decorated with black, gold and silver stripes along with Honda emblems. A new molding was recently added to the bottom portion of the fuel tank. The two side panel covers were also refinished in Flake Sunrise Orange with 750 Four emblems. The left side panel does have a small crack that was touched up. Some of the beautiful bright work includes the mirrors, gauge bezels, turn signals, fenders, grab bar and engine covers. The new black vinyl-upholstered two-up seat offers a passenger grab strap. The 19” front and 18” rear chrome wire-spoke wheels are mounted with Duro tires. The suspension consists of a conventional fork with black gaiters as well as dual partially shrouded shocks mounted to the swingarm. The braking is handled by a front disc and rear drum. The motorcycle is powered by the 736cc SOHC Inline 4-cylinder engine that was factory rated with 67hp. The engine is fed with the correct four Keihin carburetors and breathes through the correct four into four exhaust system. The engine features a kick starter and an electric starter. The engine runs and sounds excellent! The engine is coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission which shifts smoothly. It features passenger folding foot pegs, side stand and center stand. The CB750 was rated with a top speed of 125 mph. It’s hard to imagine something that’s 50-years old looks this stylist. This motorcycle has been serviced and detailed which is documented with an invoice that’s included.
