This May 1913 Ford touring was manufactured just prior to the change to the 1914 body style, and the commencement of the famous Ford assembly line. The seller purchased the car in 2017 from the widow of the previous owner who had it for over 25 years. The Model T’s condition was an old amateur restoration.
The current owner subsequently restored this car to perfection using as much original hardware as possible. The engine has less than 50 miles since complete overhaul. Service on the engine includes: new line-bored babbited bearings, .025 over pistons, counter-balanced crankshaft, completely rebuilt magneto and transmission with Kevlar bands. The rear drive train, differential, and axles were completely rebuilt. A Brassworks radiator was added. The wood sub-frame is solid with the upholstery and top from Classtique are correct. Every single part on this car is correct to May of 1913
This car is winner in its class of the AACA 2019 Junior and 2020 Senior, 2021 Grand National Junior and 2022 Grand National Senior. The trophy comes with the car. It is ready to show or drive. This beautiful example of an early Ford is from a very low production and historically significant model year. The vehicle is sold with a title and current registration.
