A testament to Maine ingenuity, this 1917 Buick Snowmobile combines the optimum engineering of an early Buick with the practicality (at least for snowy New England) of a sled. According to local legend, this Snowmobile was used by officials from a lumber company in northern Maine to travel along the frozen winter wood roads while conducting business and keeping in touch with the logging camps. Decades later and long forgotten, it was found abandoned behind an old gravel pit in northern Maine by the current owner’s father, who conducted a full restoration, preserving a piece of history for future generations. With little more than 12,000 miles, this snowmobile remains in very good condition and is ready for winter action. Sold with a Maine registration.
