During the late 1930s, Chevrolet management upgraded the division’s line of pickup trucks with several new models. Among the most attractive of Chevrolet’s 1939 offerings Was the three-quarter-ton Model
JD presented here. These vehicles were very popular when introduced. The 1939 models featured a new cab and interior with an attractive metal instrument panel that grouped the instruments in front of the owner for easy viewing. Interior redesign also brought more comfortable seating for three passengers.Packed under the hood is a later-model 1961 Chevrolet Thriftmaster “stove bolt” six-cylinder engine. At 235 cubic inches, it’s larger than the
original 216.5 CC, providing significantly more power. As a result, it runs very well and is strong.
This truck is a comfortable and good-looking drivable vehicle for any Chevrolet collector that’s guaranteed to draw a crowd at your favorite car show or ice cream shop.
This truck is being sold with a registration.
