The Lincoln Continental is a series luxury cars produced by Lincoln. The model line was introduced following the construction of a personal vehicle for Edsel Ford, who commissioned a coach-built 1939 Lincoln-Zephyr convertible, In what would give the model line its name, the exterior was given European “continental” styling elements, including a rear-mounted spare tire. As part of its entry into full-scale production, the personal luxury car was born, with an emphasis on features, styling, and comfort over performance and handling.
The Continental is the final American vehicle line with a factory-produced V12 engine, and the seller states this one is as smooth as you would expect.
This car has recently had service and inspection including new stainless steel brake lines, new fuel pump, carburetor service as well as a new starter, and a “tune up”.
