Diamond T Motor Company was founded in the city of Chicago in 1905 by Charles Tilt who continued the name of his father’s shoe company, the diamond representing quality and the T for their last name. Over the next several decades, Diamond T became known for its quality, engineering, and extreme focus of styling. This commitment to style and work lead to the Diamond T nickname as the ‘Cadillac of Trucks”
Introduced just prior to World War II, the 201 pickup embodied rugged construction with beautiful Art-Deco styling. The low roof line and angled dual crank out windshield provide a sleek and sporty look. As rugged and durable as they are attractive, these pickups were produced in relatively low numbers as the company focused on larger trucks. Today, Diamond T 201’s are regarded as one of most desired pick-up trucks to be found.
