This 1951 Mercury Eight Convertible is a former Dearborn Award winner by the Early Ford V8 Society and is an AACA Grand National First Prize Winner. Restoration of this fine Mercury was undertaken by Dr. Gene Napoliello, a board member of the Early Ford V8 Society and leading author of the authenticity manual for 1949-1951 Mercury automobiles. While undertaking the over 5 year restoration on this convertible, Dr. Napiliello went to great lengths to ensure that all aspects of this fine automobile were correct and the awards received reflect
that. Every aspect of this car, according to the estate, was rebuilt and restored during this process. Publications featuring this automobile include Hemmings Classic Car Magazine, the AACA national publication as well as the September 23, 2018 feature in the Hemmings Daily Blog.
