This 1952 MG TD was once a part of the widely recognized “Cobb Collection” and is being offered for sale at No Reserve. Dick and Dotty Cobb of Gardiner, Maine developed an enthusiastic love for the MG marque. Their love evolved into a lifelong passion and led to the creation of one of the finest and most respected MG collections in the United States.
The car sat unmoved while part of the “Cobb Collection”. Repairs were performed here at OHTM while the MG had a short stay at the museum. Services performed on this vehicle include: ignition tune up and fuel system and carburetor cleaning. A new old stock master cylinder, new brake shoes and wheel cylinders were installed. A full list of repairs done by OHTM will be included in the sale.
The 4-cylinder engine is paired with a 4speed manual transmission that runs and shifts well. The number on the engine does not match the number on the vehicle data plate. While the car may have sat for an extended period of time, the owner describes the car as in good condition. This car is ready to be enjoyed back on the road. This car is sold with a current registration.
