The M38 was a military version of the then-current civilian Jeep CJ-3A. It differed from the CJ-3A in numerous ways, including a reinforced frame and suspension, waterproof 24-volt electrical system,sealed vent system for the engine, transmission, transfer case, fuel system and brake system.

A classic element of this M-38 is the “F”head F4-134 Hurricane 2.2L 134 CID engine producing 60 Hp and 105 Lb-Ft mated to a 3-speed manual transmission.
The M-100 Jeep trailer was built by Dunbar-Kibble in February of 1952, and is rated at ¼ ton, designed in World War II it was specifically designed to be towed by 1/4-ton jeeps. Versions of the quarter-ton jeep trailer remained in military use, by the U.S. or other countries into the 1990s.
Jeep’s rich and rugged history goes back to WWII and has seen many changes and updates through the years. It doesn’t matter what generation you drive; you own a piece of American history.
