This replica of a C1 Corvette was purchased by the seller as a kit from Vette-Rod of Mandeville, Louisiana and was assembled between 1999 and 2002. Power comes from a 383ci stroker V8 equipped with an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, cylinder heads, RPM camshaft, and 750-cfm Quadrajet carburetor. The fiberglass body is finished in red and white over a custom steel frame, and additional equipment includes a Tremec five-speed manual transmission, a Fab 9 rear end, a removable white hardtop, white soft top, air conditioning, rack-and-pinion steering, Wheel Vintiques Rally-style wheels, and power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes.
Fiberglass bodywork is finished in red with white coves and features a removable white hardtop and matching custom soft top. Exterior features include quad headlights, and dual exhausts that exit through the rear bumperettes.
The 15” Wheel Vintiques Rally-style wheels feature chrome trim rings and hubcaps and are mounted with BF Goodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires. A space-saver spare is found in the trunk. Stopping power is provided by the power-assisted four-wheel discs. The car features upper and lower A-arm front suspension along with rack-and-pinion steering and adjustable coilovers.
The cabin houses bucket seats upholstered in red vinyl with a matching dashboard top, door panels, lap belts, and carpets. Equipment includes air conditioning, a heater, an analog clock, and a dash-mounted rearview mirror. A three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a 160-mph speedometer sourced from a C1 Corvette, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The used five-digit odometer showed 78k miles at the time of installation, and now shows 84k miles.
The 383ci stroker V8 was built, balanced, and blueprinted by Randy’s Performance of Corpus Christi, Texas. Features include an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, cylinder heads, RPM camshaft, and 750-cfm Quadrajet carburetor, along with Keith Black pistons, Herbert H-beam connecting rods, HEI solid-state ignition, aluminum radiator, a Melling high-volume oil pump, and more as outlined on the engine spec sheet provided in the gallery. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec five-speed manual transmission and a Fab 9 rear axle housing a differential with a 4.11:1 gear ratio.
This car is sold with a custom car registration.
