The attention to detail and overall period-correctness is just outstanding. Very rare factory V8-code sport coupe model powered by the iconic “QB-code” 409/409 HP dual-quad solid-lifter engine with a T-10 4-speed transmission and factory-correct 4.11 posi-rear. Nearly everything on the motor, trans and drivetrain shows correct castings, date-codes and markings even down to the GM hoses! Block, heads, intake, carbs, generator, etc are all period-correct components for 1962 “409” Hi-Perf applications.
Everything was rebuilt at the time of restoration and the car currently runs awesome and is dialed in nicely. The only mechanical “update” is a set of dual electric fans to help the cooling process.
Exterior is beautifully finished in the correct shade of Ermine white with excellent chrome, trim and glass throughout. Correctly color-matched 14″ steel wheels with dog dish caps and radial tires really finish off the “sleeper” look this car deserves. Interior contrasts perfectly in the full red vinyl treatment with bench seat, padded dash, floor-mounted “spaghetti” shifter, vintage Stewart Warner accessory gauges and the authentic and original Sun Tach with EB9A under-hood transmitter box.
The common stripped-down options of factory heater and radio delete are also proof that this car means business. The undercarriage is super solid and nicely coated with factory red-oxide, showing off all the correct assembly-line markings and details. Pictures just do not do this car justice and should be seen to be appreciated.
This is your chance to own one of the great pavement-pounders of the 60’s and a car that really started the American muscle movement. Investment grade vehicle that will always be appreciated everywhere it goes and we can guarantee SHE’S REAL FINE THIS 409 !!
