This 1965 327ci 365hp Chevrolet Corvette comes from the collection of a long time collector of quality high performance vehicles and is described by them as being in excellent condition. Well cared for by its current and previous owners, this Corvette gathers as much attention sitting still as it does roaring down the road. To date it has just over 54,000, believed to be, original miles.
Prior to the current owner, the entire running gear underwent a complete overhaul. The 327ci /365hp engine was rebuilt to .020 as well as the four speed transmission and rear end. The engine block is not original to the car. Underneath this vehicle the chassis is extremely clean. The suspension, front and rear, underwent a complete overhaul at the same time as the running gear. Wilwood disc brakes were added all around and a new chambered exhaust system was added. A welcomed option in the day, this Corvette does include factory power steering.
Work performed by a previous owner also included a complete high quality repaint of the car and upholstery replacement with a new leather interior and carpets. The tires are relatively new and are mounted to correct wire knock off wheels. Other options include an AM/FM radio and a wood grain steering wheel; the original wheel goes with the car.
Overall, the consignor describes this vehicle as being excellent throughout and feels this is one of the nicest Corvettes they have owned. Sold with a registration.
