Its current owner, a long-time collector of vintage Shelby Mustangs, has owned this vehicle for 35 years and according to record is the fourth, and longest tenured caretaker. Under the hood the consignor states that this GT 500 is powered by its original drivetrain including the 428ci Police Interceptor engine with 4 speed manual transmission. Serious collectors should note that it is an original car. that has been well maintained for its entire life and is described by the consignor as overall being in very good condition for a 55 year old car. The engine runs extremely well and the transmission shifts as it should. The consignor states that they did change the rear shocks but the original Koni’s are included and also reflect the condition of the vehicle. The owner states that getting behind the wheel of this vehicle feels like stepping into a time capsule. The exterior blue finish is well preserved for its age. Close inspection around the rear window seals and glass also help to substantiate the originality of its condition.
