1969 Airstream: 27 Foot Overlander International
Acquired 7 years ago as third owner. Repaired and redesigned to be an off grid office and three season solo retirement home. Stripped to it’s outer shell, the subfloor was repaired of all rot and the interior was completely modernized. The exterior and running gear were all left as original. Named and tagged as Serenity in homage for the Sci Fi space opera Firefly.

Open great room design with a long counter for office work area and dining for two.
Trailer insulated to R-21 with urethane foam, interior insulating storm window inserts are provided for most windows (R-3) as well as privacy roll shades. The bath has a frosted glass for privacy.
1000 watt off grid solar system was installed with a 2000 watt inverter, Midnight Controller, 6 AMG deep cycle solar batteries and a complete 120 volt electrical system.

New 30 gallon water tank, new 20 gray water waste tank and portable 40 mounted on the rear. Drainage is with simple garden hose connection.
Simplified water system is all internal with a cold water faucet to the hammered copper sink and hot/warm water going to a sponge/ half shower.
Nature’s Head composting toilet with separate urine tank. Williams 6000 BTU direct vent propane heater
Twin synchronized heat recovery ventilators: keeps interior air fresh, removing 80% of humidity while retaining 93% of heat.
New 30 pound propane tanks.

Eyebrow windows in front could not be replaced when they broke so insulated aluminum patches were installed.

Love seat is convertible into a sleeping cot and sits above the water tank. A step/foot rest drawer offers shoe storage.
WeBoost 4G cell signal amplifier is hard wired in with Verizon 4G MiFi hotspot for internet connectivity throughout most of the USA.
2 burner propane cooktop. No oven.
8 large, 3 medium and 8 small wicker baskets for storage and two large hampers next to the love seat for laundry and bedding.
“Invisible” window screening installed along with brush seals for the window operators to keep bugs out.
Custom plywood cabinetry in Arts and Crafts style: doors and drawers in solid rift cut natural red oak.
Edifier bluetooth speaker for entertainment.
4-1/2 cubic foot refrigerator/freezer: 120 volt only.
Oak clothes rack fixed to the floor.
HD anti theft tongue lock included.
Original orange and white canopy in good functional condition.
