This 1969 MGB-GT has undergone a complete, no expense spared restoration by its previous owner. At the time of restoration the owner was seriously ill, all the while they still wanted to see this GT coupe restored to its full potential while they still could. The resulting restoration produced a vehicle of exceptional quality and detail, making this MGB-GT one of the finest examples to be found.
Based on the goals of the prior owner, this MGB GT underwent a 100% rotisserie restoration. Every aspect of this vehicle was disassembled and restored to the way it should be. The engine, transmission, and rear end were all rebuilt, as were both the front and rear suspensions. Each and every component of the chassis and substructure of this GT was restored. The rebuilt 1798cc engine runs amazingly well and is paired to a manual transmission, with overdrive. All new disk brakes were installed and a stainless steel exhaust system was installed with chrome tips. The current owner describes this restoration as one where literally “everything was done” on this vehicle to high standard.
During the restoration the same degree of craftsmanship was given to the body and interior as the chassis and mechanicals. The entire body was stripped and properly restored and finished in an attractive green color. On the interior all of the upholstery and carpeting was replaced. All new knockoff wire wheels and new tires were installed. Overall, the current owner states that everything that could possibly have been done to this vehicle was done during the restoration; resulting in one of the finest MGB-GT’s to be found. Recently developed a clutch issue. Owner states in writing they will fully repair any transmission/clutch defect at time of auction before delivery. Sold with a registration.
