In the mid to late 1960’s, general aviation in the United States was seeing a large increase in civilian ownership of small aircraft. The ability to fly into small regional airports around the country provided a great amount of freedom for the flyer. The “suitcase cycle” was an innovation that took existing small scooters and cycles and modified them for easy disassembly and storage during flight. Once on the ground, the pilot could easily remove their cycle, reassemble, and have motorized ground transportation. This particular Honda was modified and sold by the S&K Suitcase Cycle Co. of Santa Monica California. Sold with a bill of sale.
