This award winning 1976 Triumph TR6 with 38,625 original miles is a wonderful two-owner example and part of the MS CLASSIC CARS “NO RESERVE” COLLECTION. The TR6 was produced from 1968-1976 in Coventry, England. As the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate indicates this example was built on July 8th, 1976. It was one of the last 300 TR6s ever produced. It was ordered in the rare color combination of a Tahiti Blue exterior and Beige interior. The tan upholstery with blue carpeting is extremely rare. It was also ordered with the following options: hard top, tonneau cover, laminated windscreen, 185-15 Michelin Red Band tires and disc brakes. As the current title indicates this car was purchased by the second owner on July 12th, 1982 by a gentleman who lives in Maryland. He purchased it from his brother-in-law who purchased it new. During his 41 years of ownership he enjoyed it mostly attending car shows. It’s earned over twelve awards from The Original British Car Day Car Show that is included. The exterior of this TR6 is extremely sharp with its factory design and gorgeous original color combination. It was repainted to show quality standards in the early 1990’s. It sports a tan pin stripe that matches the new tan convertible top. The original painted hard top with new stand is included. The original Triplex windshield which is in overall very good condition as is all other original trim pieces. The car rolls on 8-spoke cast aluminum wheels with Triumph center caps. The wheels are wrapped with the correct style Michelin X 185-15 reline tires. The original trim rings and center caps are included. The original tan and blue interior still looks very good considering its 47 years old. The black dash with wood trim is in beautiful condition and all the gauges are in working order. The original door panels have some wrinkles and fading. The original bucket seats are holding up well. It’s equipped with a custom 3-spoke wood steering wheel. The original trunk compartment also looks very nice with matching blue carpeting and original spare tire. The engine compartment is very clean and recently re-freshened. The engine bay paint is original and then engine has never been out of the car. It’s powered by the original matching numbers 2.5L Inline 6-cylinder engine. It’s equipped with the original Stanport #V3389 intake and dual Zenith #175-CD2 Carburetors. The engine breathes through custom polished headers and complete ANSA dual exhaust system that sounds awesome. The engine is coupled to the original 4-speed manual transmission that shifts smoothly. MS CLASSIC CARS removed the original clutch and added a brand new replacement. The original undercarriage was undercoated when it was sold new and looks very clean. The original owner’s manual, convertible boot top, black rubber floor mats and service manuals are included. This vehicle was recently serviced which is documented with an invoice that’s included. This TR6 falls into the survivor category.
